With Christmas season in full swing, you may be looking for some inspiration when it comes to fun things to do. At Raymark, we’ve put together a list of the top activities you shouldn’t miss this holiday season in Seattle.
Festival of Trees
The festival of trees has been running since 1978 and is now in its 37th year! The festival sees the organizers display an array of weird and wonderfully decorated Christmas trees. Whether it’s a themed tree or simply sparkling with colorful lights, it’s a fun and exciting event that caters to all the family.
Teddy Bear Suite
The Fairmount Olympic Hotel hosts a wonderful event that screams everything teddy bear related. There are big teddies, little teddies and everything in between. It’s a great event for little ones of all ages. You can snap some pics of your babies with the bears, or enjoy a teddy related book in the teddy bear suite. This event is open from the end of November and runs for a month until the end of December.
One of Seattle’s most loved Christmas events has to be the Gingerbread Village at the Sheraton. Each year an architect works on the creation of the gingerbread village. Every single item on display is made from sweets and cakes. This event is in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Northwest Chapter.
Macy’s Holiday Parade
It wouldn’t be Seattle without a festive parade! In the month of December, a host of Christmas characters parade the streets of Seattle, accompanying Santa as he greets onlookers. This is a great day out for all the family. There will be snacks, drinks, and freebies available on the day! After the parade finishes at Macy’s, you can join Santa for some photos and gift giving.
